One Week Menu for a Vegan and Omnivore Family

Fill your own Tortilla
Here's a week of menus planned for a family with some Vegans and some Omnivores. Each meal is complete & planned for the Vegan, with an Omnivore "extra" added as a side-dish or added ingredient. (In the future, I hope to feature a menu which is designed for the Omnivore, with a Vegan innovation).

Sunday: Fill your Own Tortilla -with a selection of Vegan & Non-Vegan Fillings, Chips, Salsa

Vegan Black Bean Burrito

Monday: Orzo Pilaf, Peas, Salad, Grilled Pork Chop

Orzo Pilaf

Tuesday: Chili Cornbread Casserole, Slaw, Grilled Hamburger

Better than Coleslaw
Chili Cornbread Casserole

Wednesday: Pad Thai with Thawed, Pre-Cooked Shrimp

Thursday: Indian Spiced Black-Eyed Peas over Rice, Salad, Grilled Chicken

Indian Spiced Black-Eyed Peas over Rice
Friday: Top your own Pizza & Salad (I find that kids really love choosing and putting on their own toppings!)

Saturday: Bulgur Pilaf with Chopped Veggies & Grilled Pork Chop

This is being shared on Menu Plan Monday

  1. Awesome - as usual!
I think I am going to have to try a Corn Bread Casserole in my future! :)

o/t you participate in any Vegan Food Swaps, by chance?

    1. I haven't ever joined one. I make nearly everything from scratch - so anyone who paired up with me on a swap might get a bunch of homemade mixes! And the shipping on that would probably be prohibitive : (

  2. Great menu. Love it especially the bulgur pilaf.

  3. Thank you. If you did one of these every week it would make me very happy :)

    1. I really appreciate the encouragement, Laura. It's good to know if anyone out there is enjoying these posts. Thanks to you, I just wrote another one for next Monday! Hope you enjoy it : )
